Q: What do you love about your current job

I consider myself an introvert, yet I love being able to connect with other people and exploring new ways to grow the tech community in Northeast Wisconsin. I also love the diversity of the work – no 2 days are the same. IT is literally changing the world!

Q: What is the most rewarding aspect of working in technology

The Alliance does SO much. We are growing computer science offerings in K12, connecting companies with high schools and colleges, collaborating with Microsoft TEALS, helping build computer science licensure programs, and connecting IT job seekers to employers. We are also connecting with state and federal lawmakers to help them understand the challenges faced by our local companies trying to find tech talent.

Q: What is a fun fact about you?

I married my high school sweetheart. We’ve been together for 27 years! I also translated a textbook on object-oriented analysis design from Danish to English. I even worked for the Danish Post Office for awhile.
