The Venture Center at Fox Valley Technical College offers a wide range of entrepreneurial training for startups and small business owners. They have many programs available right now that we’d love to share with you.
The FVTC Venture Center has recently partnered with AARP (currently the only AARP partner in WI) to promote a new offering in the Northeastern Wisconsin region. The complimentary offering, Work for Yourself @50+, provides participants a look inside at self-employment at 50+. These 2-hour sessions are being held in Appleton and Oshkosh as well as their regional centers in Wautoma and Waupaca.

In addition to their newest partnership, Innovation Accelerator Training for Veterans is kicking off at the end of February. This program is designed for Veterans who are interested in starting or growing their own business. This program was made possible by a generous grant from the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs in partnership with the FVTC Venture Center. FVTC has complimentary Explore sessions scheduled so Veterans can come in and learn more about the program before they apply. Upon completion of the program, Veterans will receive $2500 seed money for their business launch/growth. This could be the last chance to get in on this awesome opportunity.

Finally, there are a couple new offerings we’d like to share as well. Intro to the Amazon.com Selling Platform explores the fundamental information needed to sell products on Amazon and is presented by one of Venture Center’s own graduates who has since launched a successful business selling on Amazon. The second new offering, Digital Marketing – Tools, Tactics & Strategies, is designed for participants who need to get the right message in front of their target audience at the right time using digital media. In this seminar, participants will take a deeper dive to learn more about Facebook and Google advertising, email marketing, digital marketing creative and strategies, social media marketing, tracking and analytics.
